Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions govern your use of the Trades Digital website and the web design services provided by Estopia Engineering Ltd (company number SC874827, trading as Trades Digital), registered in Scotland.

1. Definitions

  • “We”, “us”, “our” refers to Estopia Engineering Ltd trading as Trades Digital.
  • “You”, “your”, “client” refers to the person or business engaging our services.
  • “Services” refers to website design, development, SEO and related digital services.

2. Services

We provide website design and development services specifically for trades businesses in the United Kingdom. The scope of each project will be agreed in writing (via email or a formal proposal) before work begins.

3. Pricing & Payment

  • All prices are quoted in GBP and are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
  • One-off projects require a 50% deposit before work begins, with the remaining 50% due before the website goes live.
  • Monthly plans (Pro) are billed monthly in advance and can be cancelled at any time with 30 days' notice.
  • We reserve the right to pause or suspend work if payments are overdue.

4. Project Timeline

We aim to deliver websites within the timeframes stated in our pricing plans. However, timelines depend on timely feedback and content from you. Delays in providing content, images or feedback may extend the delivery date.

5. Revisions

Each plan includes a specified number of revision rounds. Additional revisions beyond the included rounds may be charged at our standard hourly rate. We will always agree costs with you before any extra work begins.

6. Content & Materials

  • You are responsible for providing all text content, images, and logos required for your website.
  • You confirm that any content you provide does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights.
  • Where we source stock images, these are licensed appropriately for web use.

7. Intellectual Property

  • Upon full payment, you own the final website design and content.
  • We retain the right to display the work in our portfolio and marketing materials unless you request otherwise in writing.
  • Third-party tools, libraries and frameworks used in the build remain subject to their respective licences.

8. Hosting & Domain

We can advise on hosting and domain registration, but these are your responsibility unless explicitly included in your plan. We are not liable for any downtime or issues caused by third-party hosting providers.

9. Cancellation & Refunds

  • If you cancel a project before any design work has started, we will refund your deposit in full.
  • If work has already begun, the deposit is non-refundable as it covers time and resources already allocated.
  • Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time. No refunds for the current billing period.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid by you for the services in question.

11. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential any proprietary information shared during the course of the project. This does not apply to information that is publicly available or required to be disclosed by law.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland and the United Kingdom. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
