Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions govern your use of the Trades Digital website and the web design services provided by Estopia Engineering Ltd (company number SC874827, trading as Trades Digital), registered in Scotland.

1. Definitions

  • “We”, “us”, “our” refers to Estopia Engineering Ltd trading as Trades Digital.
  • “You”, “your”, “client” refers to the person or business engaging our services.
  • “Services” refers to website design, development, SEO and related digital services.

2. Services

We provide website design, launch and ongoing website care services for trades businesses in the United Kingdom. Our standard model is simple: you send the basics, we prepare a custom draft, and if you approve it, we launch the site and look after it on the agreed monthly plan.

3. Pricing & Payment

  • All prices are quoted in GBP and are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
  • Requesting a draft does not require an upfront payment.
  • If you approve the draft and ask us to launch it, the agreed one-off setup fee becomes payable.
  • The ongoing monthly fee covers hosting, SSL, routine updates and maintenance while the service remains active.
  • Domain registration, premium third-party tools, or extra work outside the agreed scope are only charged if agreed in advance.
  • We reserve the right to pause or suspend work if payments are overdue.

4. Project Timeline

We aim to prepare and refine drafts promptly, but timelines depend on the scope of the work, timely feedback, and receiving the content or access we need from you. Delays in approvals, content, images or other materials may extend the delivery date.

5. Revisions

The draft includes reasonable refinement needed to reach the agreed launch version. If you ask for substantial extra pages, features, or a change in scope beyond the agreed work, we may quote separately before continuing.

6. Content & Materials

  • You are responsible for providing all text content, images, and logos required for your website.
  • You confirm that any content you provide does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights.
  • Where we source stock images, these are licensed appropriately for web use.

7. Intellectual Property

  • Upon full payment, you own the final website design and content.
  • We retain the right to display the work in our portfolio and marketing materials unless you request otherwise in writing.
  • Third-party tools, libraries and frameworks used in the build remain subject to their respective licences.

8. Hosting & Domain

Hosting, SSL and routine maintenance are included in the ongoing monthly fee while your website remains on our managed service. Domain registration remains your responsibility unless we agree in writing to manage it on your behalf. We are not liable for downtime or issues caused by third-party providers outside our control.

9. Cancellation & Refunds

  • If you review the draft and decide not to move forward, no setup fee or monthly fee is due.
  • Once you approve the draft and instruct us to launch the site, the setup fee becomes payable and is non-refundable after launch work has started.
  • The ongoing monthly service can be cancelled with 30 days' written notice. Fees already billed for the current period are non-refundable.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid by you for the services in question.

11. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential any proprietary information shared during the course of the project. This does not apply to information that is publicly available or required to be disclosed by law.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland and the United Kingdom. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
